What size longboard fin should I get?
When it comes to longboard fin, the most common questions that we are getting asked are: How long should my longboard fin be? What size longboard fin should I get? How big should my longboard fin be?
The fin size you should get is related to the longboard you're surfing and the riding style you prefer. The size of the board is one of the most crucial factors as it will guide you among the different recommended fin sizes related to the type of surfing you want to experience meanwhile you're surfing your longboard.

How do you choose a fin on a longboard?
Longboards are the first board ever made; therefore, they are even the ones with many options available and choosing the right one can be complicated if you don't know all the basics.
Starting with the manoeuvrability, you need to know that the longer the fins you get, the more hold you will have but less manoeuvrability. A good option for a longboarder looking for manoeuvrability is a smaller centre fin and two side fins (the 2 + 1 setup).
The holding is crucial if you love to walk in your longboard and do nose riders! Therefore taking advantage of the previous knowledge, you should already know that you need a more prominent fin that would give you enough hold while you're cruising on your longboard doing a hang-ten!
Which fin do I need to do noseriding?
The best fin to do noseriding is a longer fin; The longer, the better! Fin's more profound translation in more hold. Having more hold would help you do perfect noseriding without sinking your longboard.
Which fin do I need to shred the waves?
For shredding waves, you have two options:
The first one is to use smaller fins to have more manoeuvrability and little hold.
The second option is to use a 2 + 1 setup where the centre fin can be as small as you like to increase more and more manoeuvrability, and the side fins would be there to give you hold.
